Carlton Cottages, New Cross Road, Peckham, c. 1972
Carlton Cottages date from 1829 and form a group with other nearby homes in a similar style.
They are a notable survivor of an impressive semi-detached home on a main road.
Their decorative classical columns with ammonite capitals are distinctive, the latter rarely found in London.
The houses fell into great disrepair in the 1970s and have recently been restored.
