Grosvenor Park, Walworth, Southwark, c. 1930
Grosvenor Park was a handsome tree-lined square of the early Victorian period.
Initially the centre of the square remained unbuilt, but it was infilled by houses and a church, All Souls (of 1869).
Within 30 years of its construction much of the surrounding area had gone downmarket, in particular the Sultan Street area just to the south.
