Paradise Street, Rotherhithe, 1826

paradise-street-01700-350

Paradise Street was an ancient road of distinguished large terraced houses many of which had elaborate wooden door eaves.

This view is of the site that became 72 Paradise Street. The house was pulled down or significantly altered beyond recognition in the late 19th century and rebuilt as the Presbytery to the Roman Catholic Church of St Peter and the Guardian Angels.
