18 Newstead Road, Lee, Lewisham, 1967

newstead-road-01553-350

The suburban development of the southern part of Lee took place in the later years of the 19th century and was characterised by larger detached or semi-detached houses.

Development would have been encouraged by nearby Lee Station on the Sidcup loop line, which opened in 1866.

This house was built in the 1870s and demolished in the 1970s to make way for a council estate.
