The Chapel House on Blackfen Road near the junction with Penhill Road.

The chapel was built as a folly by John Boyd of Danson, who wanted a view, which included a church spire.

As can be seen in the photograph the Blackfen Road was a country lane meandering from the Chapel House, past farms and woods, to Avery Hill.
