Detached houses were relatively unusual in 1930s Bexleyheath, but Steven's built a number of them, including this one on Watling Street.

Many other builders were active at the time including Ayling who built the Martens Grove Estate, Ellingham and of course New Ideal Homesteads.

Steven's had a good reputation and their attention to detail is evident in the garden layout.
