Mount Pleasant House was built c. 1810 for Abraham Constable, owner of Lewisham Brewery. It was demolished in 1860 and bequeathed its name and site to Mount Pleasant Road.
Mount Pleasant Road's earliest house dates from 1870, but the actual site of the house was not built on until after World War.
