Lewisham High Street, Lewisham, 1903
By the begining of the 20th century Lewisham High Street had established itself as a successful commercial centre, as this view of its southern portion confirms.
This image looks north from the junction with Ladywell Road the Congregational Church and spire, built in 1867, is seen in the centre.
The shops have now been replaced by a modern Fire Station and Leisure Centre.
