Friendly Street, Deptford New Town, Lewisham, 1988
Friendly Street and Albyn Road form the two axes of Deptford New Town.
These cottages on Friendly Street date from the 1840s.
The whole area is unusually well preserved, a product of the district staying under a single (private) management until its acquisition by the local authority in the 1960s, and its subsequent status as a conservation area.
