Westminster Bridge, c. 1830
A panoramic view of the Thames from The Adelphi, looking up river towards Westminster Bridge, with Lambeth Palace in the distance and Brixton Hill on the horizon.
The bridge was opened in 1750 and was designed by Charles Labalye. It was replaced by the present bridge in 1862.
