Houses were designed in a mixture of styles based on the 'garden suburb' architectural trend of that time. Including many distinctive features like overhung eves, and white-washed as well as Tudor frontages.
Built by the government in 1915 for Arsenal workers, the architect was Sir Frank Baines.
Bought by the Royal Arsenal Co-operative Society who named it Progress Estate, the properties are now in either Housing Association or private ownership.
