Well Hall Road, Progress Estate, Eltham, 1915
Well Hall Road on the Progress Estate was built by the government in 1915 for Woolwich Arsenal workers. The architect was Sir Frank Baines.
A group of houses with the entrance to the estate between them, symetrically designed in a mixture of styles based on the 'garden suburb' architectural trend of that time.
Tramlines to and from Woolwich, also built especially for Royal Arsenal workers, can be clearly seen.
