Shopping Precinct, Hayesford Park, Hayes, 1968

Opening in 1952, the shopping precinct in Letchworth Drive, was designed by the developers, the Business Design Partnership, to be the heart of the community.

The name is a clue to their garden city aspirations.

Originally with a super-market and a wide range of other shops it has suffered badly in recent years from the proximity of town centre shops in nearby Bromley.
