High Street, Downe, Bromley, 1968

high-street-01801-350

Downe is even today an unspoilt village, secure in the protection that the Green Belt, conservation area status and locally listed buildings bring.

The focus for the village is the church of St Mary the Virgin, and its two pubs, The George and Dragon and, seen here, The Queen's Head.
