Hostye Lodge, Cudham Lane North, Cudham, Bromley, 1965
Despite its proximity to the metropolis, Cudham retains an overwhelmingly rural character.
The village is more of a long ribbon of spaced houses along Cudham Lane. There are a number of farms including Hostye farm, and Hostye Lodge stands opposite it.
It is faced in flint, which is plentiful locally and which provides buildings with a tough, weatherproof shell.
