Cudham retains an overwhelmingly rural character, despite its proximity to London.

It is an elongated village strung out along Cudham Lane. Its centre is a small one, but includes the church of St.Peter and St.Paul, the Post Office (and village store) and the Blacksmith's Arms public house.

The pub dates from the early 19th century. It was the birth place of Little Titch, a music hall artist of the early 20th century.
