Burrell Row, Beckenham, c. 1900
One of a number of small courts off the High Street, Burrell Row, built in the 1870s was the most picturesque.
A popular location for photographers, it was home to workers in a variety of local trades. Up to 11 people were accomodated in a single cottage.
Surviving until the early sixties they were then replaced by two undistinguished office blocks.
