Slade Green Lane, Slade Green, c. 1900
The Corner Pin public house, shown on the right-hand side, was built by the Stoneham family in 1844 at the end of a row of six farm labourers' cottages called Poplar Place.
It was extended by taking over the adjacent cottage.
The old public house, seen here, was demolished in 1958 and today there stands a newer version which was built further back from the road to provide space for a car park in the front.
